About Project

“Let Us Hear and See, Our Living Legacy” is a multi-media celebration of North Kootenay Lake elders, capturing their rich stories and knowledge of the areas past.

Lead by The Kaslo Senior Citizen’s Association, Branch # 81, this initiative is a commitment to making sure these special people, with their wisdom and accounts of their life and our regions history, are both “seen” and “heard” as is deserved. The project views these local elders as living legacies of our community’s history, and the media produced from our interviews with them as a living legacy that can continue to be added to by and for our community’s future. Thus, we have named it “Let Us Hear and See, Our Living Legacy”.

We look forward to sharing the growth of the project as we are able to capture more and more stories and “wealth from the wise” of our area. Please help us share this and, let us know what you think!
